Periodontal diseases are commonly found in all groups and are recognized as one of the majorpublic health problems. Conventional dental products have less residence time in tooth pocket and drain easily. The product which we have designed is based on core microspheres of antibiotic drug entrapped in gel vehicle. The dosage form will be stayed in tooth pocket for longer time and drug release pattern can be tailored as per desired time period.
